Moving Tips And Suggestions

Minnesota Home Rental suggests you declutter the home for buyer's viewing.

Rid The Clutter In Your Home Before You List

Realtors recommend that we get rid of about 30% of our belongings around our home before we list it. Wow, you may think that may seem like a lot. It is vital to the sale of your home to declutter your home before you list.

How can you do this? Spend a few minutes in each room one by one. Take a very objective look around. Remember there are plenty of items you can get rid of and make a little extra cash in the meantime.

What items can you sell and where can you sell them?

Sporting Equipment – try Amazon.com for selling used sporting equipment that is in good condition. After all most of us have a few items we rarely use. A good rule of thumb if you haven’t used it in a year, get rid of it. Own one racquetball racquet? Sell it. Have a set of women’s golf clubs but your wife doesn’t play. Sell it.

Own expensive designer purses that you rarely ever use? You would be amazed at the prices people are getting for these on some websites like EBAY or Craigslist.

Musical instruments the kids played in school and you thought you would save for the grandkids? Sell that clarinet, flute or tuba. There is a website called Used Instrument Buyer and of course check EBAY and Craigslist.

We’re Not Done Yet

How about that collection of DVD’s and VHS tapes? Do you think anyone would want them? Old films that haven’t come out on DVD yet can be worth a great deal of $$. Again, try Amazon.com, EBAY and Craigslist.

Some folks start their own Facebook online yard sales. Whether or not you get a good return on that is yet to be seen.
